Aircraft Administration

Aircraft administration duties in the United States are handled by the Federal Aviation Administration. This is a government agency that falls under the directorate of the United States Department of Transportation. Administration duties covered by the Federal Aviation Administration include developing and instituting airline industry regulations and investigating any problems that arise including airline crashes. One duty of the aircraft administration is to determine what to allow passengers to bring on board a plane and what to prohibit. All liquids, creams, aerosols, bug sprays, hair styling products, and beauty products must be in containers no larger than 3 ounces. These containers must be see through and placed inside a plastic bag. If the items are placed in a Tupperware container they will not be allowed on the plane as the items inside will not be visible. Medical equipment is also allowed on board in carryon luggage. For example, a diabetic may need to carry a blood sugar testing kit with him at all times.
