Aircraft Crash Landings

The odds of surviving any aircraft crash landings have increased dramatically since the 1950's. Aircraft crash landings seem to be a regular occurrence in the news of late but the good news is that the some of the pilots have been able to avert disaster and loss of life. The most recent of these events happened in England and everyone survived. These crash landings do happen unfortunately and they happen globally. Whether they happen as a result of pilot error or mechanical breakdown, it still can be a tragic incident. Over the years, overall, airline travel has gotten safer but aircraft crash landings still are far from out of the question as we all know. The Federal Aviation Administration, also known as the FAA, is responsible for investigating any aircraft crash landings. They are also responsible for setting the safety guidelines under which all aircraft operates. Many question the accountability of the FAA.
