Aircraft License

An aircraft license is required for the operation of most types of aircraft. It is comparable to the license requirements put in place for operating motor vehicles/automobiles. In order to obtain an aircraft license, an aspiring pilot must go through a series of steps and be able to speak, read, and write English. First, he must enroll in a flight school. To be eligible for an aircraft license, he has to be certified following flight training. To begin, the flight student needs a medical certificate from a qualified doctor of aviation medicine. Then, he'll attend a three-to-five week ground school course. After this course, he'll have to take a written Federal Aviation Administration test. Once he's done this, he'll be ready to start flying with an instructor accompanying him. The total time necessary for accompanied flight is 30 to 40 hours. Next, the student should complete his solo flight and a final exam, which includes an assessor observing him on a flight (sometimes called a check-ride). Once he finally passes, he can be issued his own private aircraft license.
