Anyone who has been near a television or a newspaper is aware of the increasing number of airplane crash landings. There seems to have been a dramatic increase not only in the number of crash landings, but in the number of fatalities. Their have been 500 deaths due to airplane crash landings in 2009. This is an alarming increase over the number of fatalities the past several years. Airplane crash landings have claimed more lives in 2009 than any other year since 2002. Landings, statistically, are the most dangerous times for airplanes. Most accidents occur on landing. The number of accidents has dramatically increased, however. Everything from single engine planes to 747's have been in the news. Airplane crash landings have been a regular occurrence on the news. Let's hope the FAA can detect why there have been so many and resolve the issue swiftly. 500 people is too many to lose in the span of 7 months.
