Airplane Injuries

Airplane injuries are often the result of airline passengers themselves. The Federal Aviation Administration institutes a vast number of regulations in order to ensure the safety of planes, pilots, and air crew in America. Even so, there are still accidents - including fatal plane crashes. Fortunately these are few making plane travel much safer than travel by automobile. Passengers, on the other hand, can inadvertently cause injury to themselves while on an airplane or in an airport. Many times a passenger is rushing through an airport to make a flight and falls. One airport security guard at Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport, the busiest airport in America, says, "Every day we have people falling down getting in and out of trams or on concourses. It can get real crowded out there and bad for people trying to get to a plane fast." The security guard was interviewed for an aviation magazine article on airport safety which stated that airports across America report an increasing number of airline injuries.
