Airplane Noise

There has never been a time when the world's population has been more dependent on traveling by air. With more planes in the sky, it seems logical that airplane noise has increased as well. This plays havoc with the health and well-being of the people who live in the neighborhoods that usually surround our airports. Airplane noise is noise pollution, plain and simple. People who live around airports are complaining that their property values have decreased because of the airplane noise, and they are correct. No one would want to live in an area that is directly underneath the flight path of a jet airliner, but many people are forced to, as they cannot afford to move away. The Environmental Protection Agency in the United States have tried over the years to draw up a set of plans that would take action against airplane noise. Unfortunately, none of these plans have had much affect on the noise.
