Any time there is an accident involving an aircraft, there is an aviation accident report done. This report will include information taken from the black box, information from the passengers and pilot, if possible, and more. An aviation accident report may take a very long time to be complete. Once it is, however, it can be viewed at the aviation accident report database at the NTSB. An aviation accident report is available for any aircraft accident which has concluded the investigation. There is usually a summary of what caused the accident in the aviation accident report. For research, or just for interesting reading, looking into some of the aviation accident report files can be enlightening. Information such as the type of aircraft, the city it left from and where it was headed are also included as well as information about any fatalities.
