On January 15, 2009, one dedicated and skilled pilot crash landed his plane into the Hudson river and did so in such a way as to avoid loss of life or severe injury. The Hudson plane crash landing has been hailed a miracle by everyone from the Governor to the passengers. The pilot even walked the plane twice after his passengers were evacuated to make sure all were safe. C.B. Sullenberger even remained calm and collected as he was hailed a hero at a ceremony in his honor. The pilot was no doubt able to keep calm in the midst of an emergency and managed to skillfully put the plane down in a manner that amazed many people who saw the plane come down. It is good to know there are pilots who can do what they are trained to do and keep their wits in an emergency situation, or the Hudson plane crash landing could have had very different results.
