Joint Aviation Regulation

Joint aviation regulation is the result of aviation regulating agencies across the globe coming together to improve the safety and airworthiness of air travel. Every country is responsible for its own air travel program and as such develops a regulating program. The United States created the Federal Aviation Agency in 1958 which later became the federal Aviation Administration in 1967. It was at this time that the organization became a part of the United States Department of Transportation. England's regulatory agency is the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority. This agency has the authority of all air travel in England's air space and limited powers in European air space. Joint aviation regulations have created many safety measures that make flying better and safer for passengers. Pilots and air crew must be trained and certified before being hired and must continue training throughout their careers. It is this training that keeps them up to date and able to carry out all FAA or Civil Aviation Authority regulations.
