Plane Regulation

The Federal Aviation Administration sets standards for plane regulation in the United States. All aircraft, public and private, come under the guidance of the FAA and its regulations. These regulations number in the tens of thousands and are meant to keep the plane, the pilot, and the public safe. The Federal Aviation Administration is under the direction of the United States Department of Transportation, the governmental agency that oversees all forms of transportation in America. As such, all FAA regulations are a part of the Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations. Allowing the airline industry to be governed by the federal government is an important policy. It ensures a wide array of issues and activities are closely monitored at high and exacting standards. The general public can rest assured that the United States has the highest quality standards for the aviation industry. This means safety for passengers flying on United States airlines.
