Every country sets plane regulations for the operation of aircraft in its airspace and travelers travelling inside the country. Current regulations in the United States focus primarily on the safety of pilots, passengers, and the general public. For example, once terrorists began to explore the possibility of carrying liquid explosives on board an airline the industry immediately allowed only liquids in 3 ounce, (or smaller), containers to be carried on board.
