Regulations On Aircraft

Regulations on aircraft in England are overseen by the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority. This governmental department specializes in regulating the airline traffic into and out of the country and within its borders. It also has limited powers concerning home owned aircraft flying in foreign airspace or on foreign territory. The agency works hand in hand with other countries to carry out its mission. In the United States the Federal Aviation Administration and in Canada the Canadian aviation Regulation all enforce similar regulations. The United Kingdom's regulations on aircraft include economic regulations, airspace policies, passenger and aircraft safety regulations, and protection of consumers. The authority is broken down into four individual departments which each carry out a separate mission. The Directorate of Airspace Policy plans for airspace use, navigation, and communication. The Consumer Protection Group regulates airlines and can deny passengers boarding, the Economic Regulations department regulates airports, air traffic, air services, and more. And, the Safety department regulates and sets national safety standards for the entire country.
