Airport noise abatement programs establish an airport noise contour, place at the public's disposal a 24-hour complaint and information hotline, limit maintenance run-ups of aircraft engines, ensure that aircrafts comply with noise abatement procedures, control noise levels, and institute a pilot education program which includes noise abatement workshops for pilots.
