Though at this time the NTSB has not issued an official determination of the aviation crash, investigators have reported to the media that speculations surrounding icing of the plane’s wings before the crash may prove correct.  Other pilots in the area reported hearing communication regarding icing and control issues on the flight prior to the loss of communication with the plane and the rapid descent.  According to witnesses, the plane descended almost vertically from the sky and collided into the roof of a suburban Buffalo home, which caused the death of one resident inside, as well as injured two others. It is possible that injury and wrongful death lawsuits will arise from this incident.  Immediately following impact, the plane’s 5,000 pound fuel load burst into fire, causing flames to shoot nearly fifty feet into the air.  Rescue workers arriving at the scene could not attempt to reach the site of impact for some time, and currently, investigators have not yet entered the crash site due to the heat and smoldering remains of the impact.

In many instances of aviation accidents, families can sue for injuries, as well as wrongful death claims.  Though this will never replace a life, the expansive costs of lost lives can be rectified financially in order to account for the losses incurred by loved ones, family members, and dependents.  Contacting an aviation accident attorney in your area can give you and your loved ones all the pertinent legal information regarding filing an aviation accident injury claim today.
